Selective Plating Safety Procedures
Protection Safety Advice
- Eye Protection – Safety Glasses or Full Face Mask must be used at all times.
- Respiratory Protection – Respiratory Mask to be be used at all times.
- Skin Protection – Plastic latex gloves to be be used at all times.
- Clothing Protection – Plastic Apron, Impervious Boots as required by condition
In Case of a Spill
Spillage Protection Advice
- Eye Protection – safety glasses or full face mask must be used at all times
- Respiratory Mask – must be used at all times
- Plastic latex gloves – must be used at all times
- Plastic Apron – must be used at all times for clothing protection
Selective Plating Safety
Emergency First Aid & Spillages
- Isolate hazard area and keep people away
- Eliminate all sources of ignition
- Provide maximum ventilation
- Do not release into soil, sewers or rivers
- Wear proper protective equipment
- Carefully mop spill and triple rinse with water into a suitable plastic container
- Dispose of into plating solutions waste drum or suitable container
- If eye contact – Flush eyes with clean water for 15 minutes. Consult doctor
- If skin contact – Flush with clean water for 15 minutes.
- Inhalation – Remove to fresh air and loosen clothing.
- Swallowed : Do NOT induce vomiting, drink quantities water or milk. Consult doctor
- (GOLD ONLY) Swallowed – Induce vomiting, drink quantities water. Consult doctor
Spillage Safety
In Case Of A Spill

- Must NOT be flushed in sewer or drain, neutralize with soda ash or lime
